Service Objectives

  • To provide affordable Chinese medical services to the general public and to provide free Chinese medical services to the poor and sick elders with a purpose to promote the Chinese healthcare concept and service in the community.

Target Group

  • People of all ages
     

  • ​Free Medical Service: elders aged 60 or above or in poverty, with sickness, CSSA recipients, or with financial difficulty referred by our social workers or nurses.

Scopes of Service

  • Chinese Medical Treatment: General Medicine, Acupuncture, Bone-setting and Osteopathy.

  • General Medical Treatment: with four traditional Chinese diagnostics, including inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry and pulse-taking and palpation, and modern diagnostic techniques, Chinese Medicine Practitioners use concentrated Chinese medicine granules for treatment. Common diseases such as cold, stomach ache and insomnia as well as diseases under the departments of Gynecology, Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Endocrinology and Oncology are suitable for General Medical consultation.

  • Acupuncture Therapy: various diseases can be treated by using disposable and sterilized stainless steel thin needles, electro-acupuncture meridians to stimulate specific acupoints or using heated moxa rolls to stimulate the acupoints. Stroke sequelae, hemiparalysis, muscle atrophy, facial paralysis or neuropathic pains such as headache, trigeminal neuralgia, dysmenorrhea and sciatica are all suitable for acupuncture treatment.

  • Bone-setting Treatment: with the utilisation of Tui-Na, medical dressing, and external use medicine, the bone-setters mainly treat the following illnesses and diseases: muscles in the four limbs and main body, acute injuries in joints and bones, chronic strain or muscle aches. Common medical cases such as frozen shoulder, cervical spondylosis, tennis elbow, sprained ankle wrist, pain in wrist, back, legs and knees, rehabilitation care after fracture fixed with plaster are in the area of bone-setting treatment.

  • Osteopathic Treatment: practitioners make use of Tui-Na and acupoint massage to treat illnesses. The treatment is usually supplemented by electromagnetic wave with light irradiation or hot compress to make it more relaxing. The treatment is suitable to apply in medical cases such as pain in the four limbs, main body and chronic pain in tensed joints.

  • Chinese Medicine Service: to provide raw Chinese herbs as well as concentrated Chinese medicine granules.

  • Free Medical Service: free Chinese medical treatment and Chinese medicine are provided for free to the poor and sick elders.

  • Community Education: to promote the Chinese healthcare concept and service in the community through organising talks, workshops, carnivals and so on.

  • Consultation room, treatment bed, treatment lamp, electro acupuncture meridian, computerised medical management and health record system, dispensary for raw Chinese herbs and concentrated Chinese medicine granules, packing machine for dispensary in powder form, electric pot for Chinese herbs.

    General Medical Consultation: Free with one Chinese herbs dispensary;​Acupuncture/Bone-setting Consultation: Free;
    Osteopathy: HK$160 per treatment.
     

  • People aged 65 or above
    General Medical Consultation: HK$30;​
    Acupuncture/Bone-setting Consultation: HK$200;
    Osteopathy: HK$160 per treatment.
     

  • Any other people
    General Medical Consultation: HK$50;
    ​Acupuncture/Bone-setting Consultation: HK$230;
    Osteopathy: HK$190 per treatment.

  • Chinese Herbs / Dispensary: HK$65-85.

  • Handling Fee for Cooking Chinese Herbs: HK$10.
     

  • Extra Chinese Medical Dressing: HK$65/ Dressing.
